The Dennis Conservation Trust would like to thank the Lohr Family of West Dennis for their land gifts totaling nearly 7 acres on March 23, 2011.  It was in December of 2010 when Scott Lohr, representing descendents of Arthur & Jean Lohr, reached out to the Trust with intentions of donating three land parcels that had been in the family for decades.  In March, Scott delivered the signed deed for the proposed land gift and the deed was recorded by DCT, marking the completion of this generous family gift.  The land is within close proximity of State-protected Atlantic White cedars and is composed mostly of brackish marsh, serving as important ecological buffer to surrounding wetlands and to Indian Pond.

The Dennis Conservation Trust would also like to thank the South Dennis Congregational Church for their gift of 6.25-acres in South Dennis, MA on September 2^nd, 2010. This donation will add to the ever-expanding land preserved within the South Dennis region by DCT and the Town. This gift of land will contribute greatly to our continued effort of preserving land in Dennis and improving our future generations quality of life.
