The Dennis Conservation Trust

On Friday, October 7, 2011, DCT hosted a walk at Crowes Pasture Conservation Area from 11am-1pm for the Cape Cod Commission "Walking Weekend".  Over 25 people joined DCT on a 2-mile hike through the upland forest, up to the Coles Pond over-look, back along Quivet Creek,  and down to the beach over-looking Cape Cod Bay!

The weather was spectacular, and everyone had a wonderful time. Thanks to all who participated; it would not have been the same without you. Please keep and eye out for more DCT-guided walks this Fall on the DCT website and in Cape Cod Times.

See below for details and pictures of DCT's involvement in the 2010 Cape Cod Commission "Walking Weekend":

Kris Ramsay, former Dennis Conservation Trust Administrator, led two walks in Dennis, MA on Columbus Day weekend. Each year the Cape Cod Commission hosts a "Walking Weekend" and DCT wanted to be a part of it.

Walk one took place at the Town's Crowes Pasture Conservation Land on October 9, 2010 from 2:00-3:30pm. More than 50+ people attended the walk and the weather was perfect for the event.

Walk two took place at the Town's Indian Lands Conservation Area on October 10, 2010 from 3:30-5:00pm. At this walk 30+ people attended the event. Many of whom had never been to the conservation area or were not residence of Dennis.
