  Schedule of Upcoming Events (2012):

1) Join DCT on a guided weekend "Walk-About" on:

Saturday, January 7th at 10 a.m. at the Indian Lands Conservation Area in South Dennis.  Parking is available at the Town Hall on Main St.

Saturday, February 4th at 10 a.m. at Crowes Pasture Conservation Area in East        Dennis.  Parking is available at the main lot adjacent to the cemetary.

Saturday, March 10th at 10 a.m. at Flax Pond Conservation Area in Dennis Village. Parking is available at the main lot, right off Setucket Road.

Saturday, April 7th at 10 a.m. at Crowes Pasture Conservation Area in East Dennis.  Parking is available at the main lot adjacent to the cemetary.


2) Attend an upcoming DCT Educational Presentation:
 

"What's Hoppining?" - The New England Cottontail: Its Ecology and Habitat Requirements:

On January 21, 2012, guests gathered at the Dennis Memorial Library to meet Susan Ingalls, Wildlife Biologist for MA Division of Fisheries & Wildlife (MDFW). She presented on Cottontail ecology and habitat requirements on Cape Cod.

"Living with Wildlife": Enjoying Wildlife from a Distance and Discouraging Nuisance Behavior:

Join us in mid-March (* time and location TBD), Susan Ingalls, Biologist from MDFW, will discuss backyard wildlife-human interactions and give suggestions on how to safely discourage nuisance wildlife behavior.

White-tailed Deer: Biology, Management, and Public Concerns:

Join us in early-June (*time and location TBD), as Susan Ingalls will describe deer behavior and biology, the ecological, societal and financial values of deer, as well as modern methods of population management, and public safety concerns.

3) Attend a DCT Fundraising Event:

DCT's "Garden Party: Hostas Celebration!"  Please join DCT on Saturday, June 30, 2012 to take a tour of DCT Trustee Jim Wick's magnificent outdoor garden. The first 30 attendees will receive a complimentary Hosta plant from Jim's impressive collection. The collection consists primarily of plants that have won the title, "Hosta of the Year". Refreshements will be provided. *Time and Address TBA*

DCT's 11th Annual Auction:  Community members and visitors are invited to attend the DCT Summer Evening on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Sea View Restaurant in Dennisport.
